From the mountains to the farm we hauled beams for five homes

Sunday's hike up the river yielded an abundance of seeds as well as peace for the soul.
I hope everyone realizes the absolutely beautiful world we inherited. TAKE CARE OF IT!

Daily chores for those without running water. Landry, bathing, cooking, and drinking become much harder. We are ready for an electrical hook-up to the pump station and that will all change for 17 families.

I like it when I can see the circular systems in life, the dance of give and take we live in.
Salvador cuts and sells lumber from an area I love to hike in. Three times this year he has come to get trees to plant. He knows I don't like to cut trees so he looks for dead or fallen logs. Recently he found this giant covered in brush. We have already cut the wall beams for five homes from the tree. This wood will gift a home for many years before decaying in a new spot. During these years the new replants will grow and reach for the sky.
I don't mind being part of cycles like this.

I know I said we were not going to do anymore water projects but....
Rancho Escondido is a small group of 17 families without a water system. They collect rainwater but today,in the dry season all the containers are empty.
That should change in the next two weeks as we are close to completion on a simple system.

Starting another week with a great start. Forest and fruit trees, roofing for homes, flowers for the heart and medicine for the body are all being shared from our work at the farm.
