It has been a LONG while since I posted anything. So for your patience, here is a shoot I was in.

My stash of DM stuff is growing.

In this photo you have a set of condition markers, an AOE ring, altitude markers, and then a few books I printed from the DM Lair

So it begins.

15 down, 0 to go

"One afternoon, while watching his children play, Tateh had an idea for a movie: a bunch of children. White, Black, Christian, Jew, Rich, Poor, all kinds. A gang, a crazy gang, getting into trouble, getting out of trouble, but together dispite their differences. He was sure it would make a wonderful movie; a dream of what this country could be. And he would be the first in line to see it"

And with that, Tateh's journey is complete, at least my telling of it. There were nights where I didn't want to tell it because of sheer exhaustion on my part. Yet, I am glad for every second I was on that stage. I got to work with an amazing cast and crew who put every ounce of themselves into their characters.

I got to tell the story of a man who was beaten down and disillusioned by the "American Dream" yet found the courage to keep going for his daughter. My words are not enough to say what I feel about Tateh, so I will leave it at that.

With all of that said, I am glad it is done. I am exhausted, I am looking forward to not stepping on a stage as an actor for a year but being an audience member and seeing others tell stories.

I was hoping this wouldn't happen but I am there. I definitely wasn't fully recovered from my burnout, and now with Ragtime opening on Friday (BTW it opens on Friday, don't forget to get your tickets), I am feeling that burnout creep back. I just want to cry for no reason.

So I guess I have an announcement because of this for my theater community. I am going to be taking all of next season off (2022/2023) from stage acting. You might catch me on some film projects or small things here or there, but I need a break from the stage. Don't worry, I will be back, I am not done with the stage and I don't think I ever will be.

Come see ragtime opening Friday.

We have a cast for Ragtime the Musical at the Lakewood Playhouse.

After 2 years of waiting, I am ecstatic to finally have the opportunity to put this show on. My only hope is that I am able to do justice for the story of Tateh.
