I stopped out to XCrispy in Mattydale and here are the three things I tried. 1. Their chopped cheese in pita. Just take a classic chopped cheese with a good amount of ground beef and cheese and peppers and onions and put it into a grilled pita. A small change from a classic chopped cheese, but one that I really like. The pita is slightly crispy in the outside from having on the flat top and then fluffy on the inside.2. Their chicken over rice. The dish we’ve seen plenty of times. But I like about theirs is that it feels like it has a lot more flavor than most chicken over rice dishes I’ve had and everything is fresh. The tomato, cucumber, onion, lettuce they’re all sliced and chopped, thin and neatly put on the plate.3. Their chopped cheese XCrispy Smashburger. This has their secret sauce, two smash patties, cheese egg, and two slices of beef bacon. Really really good Smashburger. Solid cook in the smash burgers that leave them really crispy and the beef bacon gives it a different flavor than just traditional pork bacon. Not as salty.They are located at 2275 Brewerton Rd. Get up there and give them some love. One of my favorite things about this restaurant is that they took a former Pizza Hut that had been empty for years and spent a year turning it into a beautiful and clean Restaurant . So I’d love it if you could all get out there show them some love and help support their dream.
