The ribbon is cut, the doors are open, and the Harrison Building is welcoming residents home!

Here’s to the start of a new chapter for this historic building. Congratulations to everyone who helped bring this project to life.

The Harrison Building’s transformation preserves the character of this six-story historic structure in downtown Syracuse while introducing 35 new residences, including four affordable units, creating new opportunities to live and connect in the heart of Downtown Syracuse.

From neighborhood gardens to shared public spaces, VIP’s Day of Purpose efforts helped support the care and improvement of community environments across the region.

VIP Employees supported:
— assisting with outdoor space improvements and community-facing site support
— assisting with cleanup, planting, and ongoing garden care
, Urban Delights Learning Farm — creating a new garden feature to expand local growing capacity and enhance the learning environment
— contributing to grounds improvements and building enhancements to enrich the visitor experience

Across health, education, and public service spaces, VIP’s Day of Purpose efforts helped support essential services for individuals and families throughout Central New York.

ACR Health — assembling wound care kits to support outreach and community health initiatives
McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center — preparing outreach and education kits for children and families
Rescue Mission Alliance of Syracuse — folding and packaging donated T-shirts for “Fold for Hope”, supporting community initiatives and reducing waste

We're proud to see The Post Apartments recognized by the Downtown Committee of Syracuse at its Annual Meeting as a project helping to drive growth, diversity and vibrancy in Downtown Syracuse.
