Join Unchained and Katal Center for Equity, Health, and Justice next Thursday, May 21st at 6 PM for our info session on the State Commission of Correction!

In this info session, we’ll go over the history and authority of the SCOC as well as discuss the 2025 reforms made to the Commission.

Join Unchained and the Advocacy for the Incarcerated club at Upstate Medical University on Thursday for a panel discussing the intersections between the carceral and healthcare systems and their impacts on the lives of incarcerated individuals and their families. The panel will feature several Unchained members with unique and personal experiences related to carceral healthcare.

Come help us prepare books to ship to incarcerated individuals and celebrate "Right to Read" day this coming Monday. With your help, we can ensure that people in prison have access to up-to-date and interesting books!

Today also marks the beginning of National Literature Month and Second Chance Month, so we're committed to ensuring literary access for incarcerated individuals.
