The CBA Tri-M Music Honor Society chapter was recognized in the Senior Division as the first runner-up for the 2025โ€“2026 National Tri-M Chapter of the Year Scholarship Award.

The National Chapter of the Year Program aims to motivate and reward chapters that demonstrate excellence through service projects, effective leadership by chapter officers, and a commitment to fostering awareness and collaboration among Tri-M chapters nationwide.

Tri-M Music Honor Society, a program of the National Association for Music Education, is dedicated to developing future leaders in music education and advocacy. As the only music honor society for middle school and high school students in the United States, Tri-M recognizes those who excel both academically and musically. The organization also provides students with meaningful leadership opportunities through music-based service initiatives that positively impact their communities. There are more than 2,100 Tri-M chapters across all 50 states and 15 countries.

In recognition of this achievement, CBA will receive an $800 check, which the chapter may use during the 2026โ€“2027 school year to support a musically enriching activity or provide a music program scholarship.

Congrats all!!!

CBAโ€™s chapter of The Hidden Opponent was recently named National High School Chapter of the Year.

In just its second year, the chapter earned this prestigious recognition for its commitment to promoting mental health awareness, advocacy, and support for student-athletes. This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication of faculty advisor Mr. Scott Cotter, along with the many students who have worked to foster a more supportive and compassionate community at CBA.

The Hidden Opponent includes more than 800 chapters nationwide at both the high school and collegiate levels. Additionally, there are 2,575 campus captains across the country, including some who serve on campuses without an official chapter.

The Class of 1976 gathered June 4-June 7 to celebrate their Jubilee Reunion.

Brothers came from all over the country, reconnecting with their high school buddies, recounting and reliving memories of their days at Randall Road. Stories of hitting the books, the field, the hardwoods, and lessons learned from the Brothers and each other were shared as if they had happened just yesterday.

Kicking off the weekend early on Thursday, June 4, Jubilarians gathered at the Marriot Hotel Syracuse for a cocktail party in the lobby. Fifty years peeled away in a matter of hours.

On Friday, June 5, a group of early risers hit the links to enjoy a day on the golf course.

The festivities continued Friday evening as current CBA students welcomed their fellow Brothers back to school with a tour and a discussion about what life is like at CBA today. A highlight for both the alums and student tour guides.

After the school tour, 39 Jubilarians and their guests gathered in the Br. Joseph Jozwiak FSC Dining Center for a celebratory dinner sponsored by CBA. Joining the celebration were President Matt Keough, Kathy Wiese, Chair of the Board of Trustees, AD Buddy Wleklinski โ€™75, and Ed Leone โ€™74.

A sunny Saturday set the stage for a cookout at classmate Mike Vavonese's home on Oneida Lake.

Saturday night, the group assembled at Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville for the Class of 2026 Baccalaureate Mass, celebrated by Rev. Cliff Auth. The Mass was highlighted by readings and songs performed by the CBA student choir, and the deceased members of the Class of 1976 were honored and remembered.

Sunday's Class of 2026 Graduation was the capstone event of the weekend. Members of the Jubilee Class were included in the formal procession, and each received a gift from CBA President Matt Keough. The gift was designed and created by a group of talented CBA art students, a truly meaningful keepsake of the weekend's festivities.

The Class of โ€™76 presented the school with a check for $70,000 to the school to establish a perpetual scholarship named for the Class of 1976. The gift will provide deserving CBA students the opportunity to continue the legacy of hard work, discipline, and excellence forged by 'Brothers' who have gone before them.

CBA is forever indebted to the Class of 1976 for their generosity of treasure, time, and spirit.
