I feel like I shouldn’t have to address this publicly, but due to my business and reputation, I feel it is necessary.
I have been caring for and working with children for over 20 years, and their well-being has always been our main focus. Throughout this process, I attempted to handle concerns involving parents who chose to leave and join another team privately and respectfully. However, when false narratives begin to affect my business and reputation, I feel obligated to respond. Over the past year, we experienced some negative interactions with a small number of parents within the organization. As with any program, disagreements and misunderstandings can occur. Some families chose to move to another team or create their own program, and that is completely their right. Cheerleading organizations change, and we wish everyone success in their future endeavors. What became concerning, however, was behavior that we felt was disruptive to the program and its mission. Following our last competition, the decision was made to part ways in order to maintain a positive environment for our athletes, families, and staff. Our team has gift bags prepared and ready to be distributed to families who were unable to attend the end-of-year celebration. However, due to concerns regarding previous interactions and in the interest of maintaining a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for the children, parents, and staff involved, I felt it was best to make alternative arrangements for distributing those items. My commitment remains the same as it has always been: providing a positive, safe, and supportive experience for every child in our program. I will continue focusing on the athletes and the values that have guided this organization for almost a decade.
