Power and authority comes by way of submission to the Lord.

Saying I believe is often touted as proof of salvation. This is a very false premise. To believe is to allow the gospel and your relationship with Christ to completely and totally saturate your life.

We need markers in our lives to remember the great events, otherwise we will surely forget.

1 Peter 2:9-12 teaches us that the world is set against us because it is hostile toward Christ. Indeed if He suffered so also will we.

Your faith is transformative and should, drip by drip, transform your life and impact your entire life of your household.

As slaves of Christ we must be careful in aligning ourselves in ministry with false doctrine, false prophets, and evil spirits. We should never appear to join with or endorse false gospels. See Galatians 1:8-9, 2 Cor. 6:14-17, 2 John 1:9-11, and Paul specifically instructs us to call out such heresies Rom. 16:17-18, Eph. 5:11, see his model in 1 Tim. 1:19-20, 2 Tim 4:2-4, Titus 1:13

This biblical pattern is not for hateful condemnation, personal attacks, or prideful division. The purpose is for the protection of the flock, for the preservation of sound doctrine, and should be done because of our faithfulness to Christ and desire for biblical truth. No matter how distasteful the speaker of truth might appear to be, it is always done in love with hopes the correction will be received and that person or individuals would be set on the right path. We do not associate with such doctrines in order that we do not appear to endorse them and weaken our spiritual integrity.

The annual ChristPoint fishing derby was a great success! We definitely have some real anglers in our church. Tim Teague definitely won first place with the most fish caught and Lisa Compher won biggest fish in adult category and Brynlee Taunton won in the children’s category. Great fun, food, and fellowship was had by all!
