As of June 9, 2026, the meter heads have been removed at the following locations: Field House Lane, both sides across from the Swarthmore Inn (S. Chester Road) and along the wall across from the businesses on S. Chester Road. Please use the Passport Parking App for these locations.

THE BOROUGH OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY, MAY 25, 2026, IN OBSERVANCE OF MEMORIAL DAY. MONDAY TRASH COLLECTION WILL BE ON TUESDAY, MAY 26, 2026. THERE WILL BE NO CHANGE IN WEDNESDAY RECYCLING.

🚑 With the closure of the Crozer Health System, municipalities across Delaware County lost critical emergency services Crozer once provided. Combined with ongoing staffing shortages, this has created real challenges for local governments working to maintain reliable emergency response for residents.
To address these countywide gaps, participating municipalities are exploring the creation of a new regional authority structure — the Delco Emergency Services Authority (Delco ESA). This model would provide stronger accountability through locally appointed board members and create a stable, transparent framework for delivering high quality emergency services.

The meeting will include an overview of the Delco ESA and an opportunity for residents to ask questions and share feedback.

SWARTHMORE BOROUGH COUNCIL will hold a special meeting at 8:15 pm on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at the Media Little League Complex,1900 N. Providence Road, Media, PA
for the purpose of information gathering related to athletic field lighting.
Interested Borough residents are invited to attend.
