🇺🇸Honoring the brave. Remembering the fallen. 💜
On , we pause to pay tribute to the service members who were wounded or killed in defense of our country.
First established by George Washington in 1782, the Purple Heart remains America’s oldest military award—a powerful reminder of the true cost of freedom. Today and every day, we express our deep gratitude for their sacrifice and stand alongside their families.

🇺🇸 Today Military Friends Foundation was honored to attend the U.S. Coast Guard Northeast District Change of Command Ceremony.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Rear Admiral Michael Platt for his exceptional leadership, steadfast dedication, and unwavering support of our military community during his tenure.
We also offer a warm welcome and our best wishes to Rear Admiral Matthew Lake as he assumes command. We look forward to working alongside you in service to our Coast Guard families and region.
As Vice Admiral Jo-Ann F. Burdian, USCG, powerfully reminded us, “Nobody who chooses to wear the cloth of our nation performs that service alone.” Thank you to all who serve and the families who stand beside them. ⚓️🇺🇸
