"Even through the hardest parts, I would do it again." 🤍
That's Pam. And we're so grateful she's part of our team.
Pam is a Journey Manager at Family Inceptions. She walks alongside our gestational surrogates and intended parents throughout the entire journey. She doesn't just understand this process professionally. She's been in it herself, every emotion, every hard moment, because those were definitely there, but every beautiful one too. 🤎
That's what this community is built on. New here? Welcome. If not, welcome back. What made you first think about surrogacy?

Not everyone who goes into egg donation planning to do it multiple times actually does. And that is completely okay.

Some donors have their first retrieval and know immediately it was a one and done experience. The physical demands, the emotional weight, the recovery. It is a lot to put your body through and there is no shame in deciding once was enough.

For me it was different. Even after that first uncomfortable cycle, something kept pulling me back. Partly because of the field I worked in and the stories I had heard. Partly because I wanted to understand my own body better and learn what I was truly capable of. And partly because the why behind it all was always bigger than the hard parts.

Five cycles later, I can say that every single one taught me something. But I also want to be clear that doing it once is just as meaningful as doing it five times. The decision to donate at all is already extraordinary.

Here is something every egg donor and recipient parent needs to hear before starting this process.

Anonymous donation is not as anonymous as you think. And this is not said to scare anyone off. It is said because you deserve to go into this with eyes wide open.

A unique job title listed on an application. A LinkedIn search. And suddenly recipient parents had found their donor before the match was even confirmed. No bad intentions, no malicious motive. Just human curiosity and the internet doing what the internet does.

That is the reality we are living in. Legal contracts cannot guarantee what a Google search can undo in minutes. And the families and donors who handle this journey best, are the ones who had that honest conversation early, decided what they were truly comfortable with, and moved forward prepared rather than blindsided.
If anonymity is something weighing on your decision, watch the full video. This is a conversation worth having before you sign anything.

Let's talk about one of the biggest fears women have about egg donation, because it deserves a real answer.

Will donating your eggs affect your fertility? It's the question almost every donor asks, and the honest answer is more nuanced than a simple yes or no.

Here's what most people don't know. You were born with every egg your body will ever release. Each month, your body naturally grows one egg to maturity and either prepares it for pregnancy or releases it during your cycle. During the IVF process, the hormones you take simply allow your body to mature multiple eggs at once instead of just one. Those eggs were already there. Donation doesn't take anything extra from you.

So if someone goes on to have fertility challenges after donating, it doesn't automatically mean donation was the cause. It may simply mean their body had a lower egg count to begin with, which is something that varies from woman to woman regardless of donation.

The truth is, an informed donor is an empowered donor. Watch the full video to hear the full breakdown.

Preparation is everything when it comes to egg donation, and it starts before you even submit your application.

The screening process covers a lot of ground. Your medical background, your family history, genetic testing, a psychological evaluation, and questions that get very personal, very quickly. It's one of the most comprehensive processes you'll go through, and that's actually a good thing. It means the people guiding your journey are taking it seriously.

But walking in informed makes all the difference. Give yourself the time, gather what you need, and don't let the depth of the process catch you off guard.

I never saw myself as an egg donor. Then life put me exactly where I was supposed to be. 🌟

One unexpected opportunity led me into the world of fertility and once I was close enough to witness the heartbreak, hope and resilience of families trying to have a child, I knew I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself.

The idea that I had something to give that could genuinely change someone's life? It stopped feeling scary and started feeling like the most natural thing in the world.

If you've ever been even a little curious about egg donation, this one's for you. 👆

What does surrogacy really look like from a surrogate's perspective?

In this Q&A, one of our incredible surrogates shares her experience across two journeys, the emotional highs, the physical challenges, and why she chose to do it again.

"I never felt like I was not connected with anybody. I just felt safe."
From navigating medications to finding the right match, she speaks to what truly made the difference: feeling supported, informed, and valued every step of the way.

If you have been thinking about surrogacy, this is the kind of story worth watching.

Nobody warned me about this part of egg donation recovery. 😮‍💨

The bloating, the constipation, the feeling like your organs are fighting each other, it's real, and it's something more donors need to know about before going in.

It took me until my 3rd cycle to finally get my recovery routine down to a science. Hydration, supplements, stool softeners the week before retrieval, small things that made a huge difference.

Because you don't know what you don't know. 💛

Save this if you're considering egg donation or in the middle of your journey. ⬇️
