Another successful beach cleanup!!!

Yet another successful discovery and recovery from our beaches. It's satisfying to witness this item removed from our waters and repurposed effectively.

🌊 Another Successful Coastal Beach Cleanup! 🌊

Today was a day of action and environmental love as 67 dedicated volunteers joined forces to clean up our beautiful coastal beach. Together, we made a significant difference by collecting a total of 56 pounds of trash.

Among the items we found, cigarette butts, plastic cups, bottle caps, and even straws were the most common. It's a powerful reminder of the work we still have ahead to keep our oceans and beaches clean.

A huge shoutout and heartfelt thanks to each and every volunteer who generously devoted their Saturday to this meaningful cause. Your efforts are contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment for all. Let's keep up the momentum! 💙🌏🙌

What a fantastic Back To School Beach Cleanup it was! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the City of Dania Beach, and in particular, Commissioner Joyce L. Davis, for their unwavering dedication to caring for our environment. Love to see and meet people with the same passion for ocean conservation. This was another beach walk that turned into a small beach cleanup. Thank you to our new friend Mike for getting this huge 30-foot plastic tube out of the water. We are coming back to break it into smaller pieces to get it off the sand.

MIAMI BEACH BANS CIGARETTE SMOKING AT PUBLIC BEACHES AND PARKS!!

The new ordinance carries a $100 fine or up to 60 days in jail for the first violation within a 12-month period. “Smoking” is defined by the ordinance as “inhaling, exhaling, burning, carrying, or possessing any lighted to***co product, including ci******es, ci**rs, pipe to***co and any other lighted to***co product with the exception of unfiltered ci**rs.” The ordinance takes effect on Sunday, January 1, 2023 in order to allow time for education and community outreach.
