Getting back into my daily hiking routine with my girl Pixie (and my son Aiden when he is off work). Pixie has fallen in love with our “natural pool” down at our creek. It’s about the halfway point of our hike so a little rest for me before we hit the hard hike back up to the cabin. It’s about a mile hike on the outter loop so it’s a good source of exercise and fat burning for sure. I haven’t hiked it since the spring when I almost stepped on a snake so I was a happy camper when I made the full loop without any issues!! Winter hiking is my favorite. Looking forward to the snowfall this year. I wonder if Pixie will take a cold plunge when it snows? I’ll post if she does!!

I couldn’t help but capture the beauty of my marigolds today and share it with yall!! They have just burst into bloom this week. This cool looking little spider things they’re beautiful too!!

With this being the 3rd harvest of cayenne this week, harvesting a whopping 1 lb today is awesome!! So many peppers still on the bushes waiting their turn for harvest and so many blooms turning into the next round of peppers!! Cayenne is by far my top crop that I grow here on the farm. I make herbal meds with them, cayenne powder, use it in my recipes, add it to my teas… so many uses.

Good morning world!! Yall have the most Blessed day!! It seems as though this world is a little upside down and one of my favorite scriptures to lean in on during times like this is Psalm 91. I made a fresh cup of herbal tea to sip on too. Fresh, turmeric, fresh ginger, fresh cayenne, dehydrated lemon slice, dehydrated thyme, black pepper, cinnamon bark and almost crystallized honey.
