Had fun day yesterday helping my former professor Jim rebuild his little back yard pond that needed some tender love and care. Jim has a sweet setup where he pumps water from the pond up into a cool wetland he has constructed. The wetland and pond handle excess rainwater from his collection system to boot!

As a midwesterner that has a midwestern niceness guilt complex when pricing our beef I have to remind myself that while people are paying more for our beef than conventional feedlot beef they are getting more and beef nutrients.
