A pretty incredible moment to witness.

Bike Forward’s Rodney Hahn had the opportunity to attend the groundbreaking of Moss Universal Park, a project from The Ability Center that is creating a place where people of all abilities and all ages can be active, healthy and play together.

Bike Forward has been proud to support The Ability Center, and seeing this project move from a vision to something real was a powerful reminder of what community support can make possible.

Congratulations to The Ability Center and everyone who helped make this milestone possible. We can’t wait to see Moss Universal Park come to life! 💚

The 2026 Bike Forward ride is officially in the books — and what an incredible few days it has been.

The miles are finished. The bikes are getting a well-earned rest. But before we close out this year’s ride, we need to say one very big THANK YOU.

To our riders who put in the miles.

To our drivers and support crew who kept everyone moving safely.

To our volunteers who jumped in wherever they were needed.

To our sponsors and partners who continue to believe in what Bike Forward is all about.

To Rooted, our 2026 beneficiary, for the incredible work you do in our community and for giving us something so meaningful to ride for.

And to every single person who has donated, shared a post, bought merchandise, cheered us on, followed along or supported Bike Forward in any way — thank you.

This ride takes a village, and we have a pretty incredible one.

And while the ride itself may be over, our fundraising month is not. You can continue to donate through the Bike Forward website all month long. Our Bike Forward merch store is also still open, so there’s still time to grab some gear and support the cause.

Every donation, every purchase and every share helps us continue moving our mission forward — and helps us make an even bigger impact for Rooted.

DAY 3 IS UNDERWAY. 🚴‍♂️❤️

Today’s crew:

📍 52 miles to Stevens Point

The crew is back on the road this morning for another 52 miles, with a snack stop at Sunset Lake before rolling into Stevens Point. Then it’s time for some VERY well-earned stretching and massages before heading out for a little Saturday celebration. 🍻

But today isn’t just a big day for Bike Forward.

It’s a big day for Rooted, too. 🌱

While we’re putting in the miles, our 2026 beneficiary is hosting Farm to School Aid TODAY from 2–7:30 PM at Troy Farm & Gardens in Madison!

It’s a family-friendly music festival supporting Rooted’s Farm to School programming, with live music, food trucks, b**r, kids’ activities — including kids’ karaoke! — and a whole lot of fun.

If you’re in the Madison area, go show Rooted some Bike Forward love today. ❤️

And thanks to all of YOU, we had already raised $15,000 by lunchtime yesterday.

DAY 2: 80 MILES. 🚴‍♂️💨

Another big day in the books for the Bike Forward crew.

82 miles on the bike — with one very important pit stop after mile 62: Cathy’s Cakes in Wild Rose.

Because when you’ve already ridden 62 miles, cake absolutely counts as fuel.

Then it was back on the bikes for the final 20 miles before a little golf, a late dinner and some well-earned time off their feet. ⛳️

But the best number from Day 2 wasn’t 82.

As of lunchtime yesterday, you helped us raise $15,000. ❤️

Every mile of this ride is about something bigger than the ride itself. This year, we’re riding in support of Rooted and the incredible work they’re doing for kids and families in our community.

And we’re not finished yet.

Day 3 is up next. 🚴‍♂️

September is THE month for Bike Forward.

The miles are adding up, the big ride is almost here, and now it’s time to see just how much good we can do together.

🚲🌱 BIG NEWS: Meet Bike Forward’s 2026 Beneficiary — Rooted!

This year, every mile we ride will help put more kids in the garden, more hands in the dirt and more fresh food within reach.

Through its Farm to School program, Rooted helps more than 2,000 Madison-area kids learn where food comes from, how it grows and what it means to build a healthier community.

And on September 12, we’re joining forces in a pretty incredible way:

🌱 Rooted hosts its annual Farm to School Aid event
💚 Together, we’re aiming to raise $50,000

⚾ **Bike Forward Night at the Ballpark!** 🚲

What a night! On Saturday, we had an absolute blast cheering on the Madison Mallards while raising money for Bike Forward at the same time. 💙

A portion of every ticket purchased through our fundraiser came right back to Bike Forward — helping us continue our mission of moving our community forward through cycling, connection, and giving back.

And we had an extra-special moment to kick off the night: **three Bike Forward kids got to throw out the first pitch!** ⚾👏 We may be a little biased, but we think they knocked it out of the park.

Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, joined us at the game, cheered with us, and continues to support Bike Forward. Fundraisers like this are about so much more than raising money — they’re about getting together, having some fun, and supporting a mission we all believe in.

And judging by the smiles, we’d say this one was a home run. 😉
