This one is for our parents! If mealtimes feel like a daily struggle — filled with negotiating, pressure, or preparing multiple meals only to have food left untouched — this program is designed to help. Grounded in Ellyn Satter’s Division of Responsibility in Feeding (sDOR), a feeding framework recognized by many physicians and pediatric experts as the gold standard in feeding, this four-part program will help parents better understand what is truly typical in child eating and why most picky eating does not require fixing.

Program starts June 15th!

Validation of sDOR.2-6y has elevated verification of fdSatter/sDOR-based nutrition counseling from subjective evaluation to concrete testing. sDOR.2-6y is the only tool to test adherence to both dimensions of the Satter Division of Responsibility in Feeding (sDOR), parent leadership and child autonomy. It supports a profound shift in nutritional practice from from controlling feeding behaviors to building trust, and from focusing on outcomes to focusing on process.

Good Enough Meals: Self-care in the Kitchen | Ellyn Satter Institute 02/15/2026

A lovely interview with ESI's Peggy Crum, MA, RD and award-winning cookbook author Leanne Brown.

Spend a relaxed hour in Leanne's kitchen, rejecting the frenetic pace of cooking shows and the myth of the "20-minute meal." We all know we have to get meals together in a hurry, but Leanne reminds us of the importance of process over perfection. As Ellyn says, when the joy goes out of eating, nutrition suffers!

The webinar replay costs $25 but there's a link to a free pdf of Leanne's cookbook that went viral (Good and Cheap) in the first comment. Happy cooking, everyone!

Good Enough Meals: Self-care in the Kitchen | Ellyn Satter Institute The Ellyn Satter Institute is pleased to present this webinar with Leanne Brown, award-winning author of 2 cookbooks. The premise of her work encourages and supports parents in doing their job of providing meals for themselves and their families.

Research shows that the majority of people who try to lose weight eventually regain it. Traditional weight-centric practices can lead to yo-yo dieting, disordered eating, and greater weight stigma. That’s why more practitioners are adopting weight-neutral and weight-inclusive approaches that emphasize lasting, health-supporting behaviors over numbers on the scale. Join us for this interactive session to learn practical ways to bring weight-inclusive principles into your nutrition work.
