Asteria Ice Cream is almost here!
We can’t wait to welcome you through our doors, at 111 West Main street in Downtown Sun Prairie, and celebrate with you during our grand opening weekend!

ABOUT US

Cream + Sugar + Magic

The idea for Asteria Ice Cream grew from a passion for flavor and high-quality ingredients, a love of sweet treats, and an obsession with customer experience. As the idea developed, we delved deep into the nostalgia of ice cream, from European gelatos to old-fashioned soda fountains. There’s a tradition of unique ice cream shop customer experiences, and we wanted to create a place where that nostalgia is reimagined.

Asteria was the mythological Greek goddess of nocturnal oracles, prophetic dreams, and shooting stars. Known as the "starry one,” she inspired the development of our brand and environment. We aim to create a space for our customers that feels like the dreamy magic of a starlit evening.

Because going out for ice cream shouldn’t be mundane, it should be magic.

Asteria will feature a rotating menu of handcrafted ice creams, sundaes, floats, dirty sodas, and sweet treats inspired by both classic soda fountains and modern dessert trends.

Our menu includes signature flavors like Vanilla Bean, Chocolate, Blue Moon, and Calico Coffee, alongside rotating seasonal flavors such as Strawberry Crunch, Prairie Flower, Rhubarb Crumble, and more.

You’ll also find dairy-free options, fresh-baked treats from our in-house bakery, old-fashioned fountain sodas, and plenty of surprises throughout the year.

More than anything, we hope Asteria becomes a place where families, friends, and neighbors can gather, relax, and make memories together.

The Sun Prairie Farmers Market is celebrating 40 years!

On June 6, the market is throwing it back to 1986 for a special anniversary celebration complete with live music, community activities, and plenty of 80s fun.

We'll be there serving coffee and cheering on one of Sun Prairie's favorite community traditions as it celebrates four decades of bringing local farmers, makers, businesses, and neighbors together.

So grab your best 80s outfit, stop by the market, and join in the celebration!
