🪙 Small change can make a big difference.

This spring, Platteville UMC launched “Change for Christ,” a mission project encouraging the congregation to donate loose change during Lent to support Sleep in Heavenly Peace in Grant County. Through the generosity of children and church members alike, the congregation raised $275 to help provide beds for children in need — a truly life-changing gift.

💜 Responding to a growing community need.

This spring, Sun Prairie United Methodist Church launched a new Memory Café ministry to support individuals experiencing memory changes and the caregivers who walk alongside them. Inspired by dementia-friendly training through the ADRC of Dane County, members of the congregation came together to create a welcoming place of connection and care.

On May 3, Ash Creek United Methodist Church marked its 170th anniversary with a joyful day of worship, fellowship, and remembrance. Rev. Barbara Certa-Werner attended on behalf of Bishop Dan Schwerin, sharing greetings and a letter of celebration from the Bishop and proclaiming the morning message.

A historic milestone honored. 💙

Bishop Schwerin is pleased to announce that the 3rd-floor conference room is now named The Bishop Matthews Room in honor of Bishop Marjorie Swank Matthews — the first woman elected and consecrated as a bishop in the United Methodist Church. Her leadership helped pave the way for generations of women in ministry and continues to inspire the Church today.
