Anglers woke up to a clearing sky on Santee Cooper this morning. Torrential rains, tornadoes and extreme winds blew threw the area last night.

Some anglers are here and others are showing up for the first tournament of the year for the Cabela's King Kat 2020 trail. Winds are still extremely high but expected to recede by tournament day tomorrow in Santee Cooper Country.

Some anglers have chosen to prefish while others are bypassing the opportunity because of the winds. The registration and the captains meeting is tonight at Blacks Camp and Restaurant beginning at 5:00 pm, the captains meeting starts at 7:00.
