Midsummer Serenade: An afternoon of music inspired by midsummer’s sense of wonder.

Featuring:
Kara Grover, Heather Morrison,
Mac Atkinson, Mark Burns, & Ben Martin

A Midsummer Serenade suspends the real and the imagined, moving between intimate art song and vibrant operatic ensembles. You’ll hear music by Amy Beach, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and Johann Strauss II, along with pieces inspired by nature, folklore, and a little mischief. It’s simply an hour to slow down, listen, and enjoy the feeling of midsummer.

Due to an issue with Trinity UMC Sanctuary’s air conditioning, our worship service this morning (June 14, 2026) has been moved to the Fellowship Hall.

Don’t worry - the time hasn’t changed, the sermon hasn’t changed, and God’s presence certainly hasn’t changed! We will still gather to worship God at 11:00 am… in the Fellowship Hall.

Thank you for your flexibility and your patience! The location might be different today; however, the Spirit of the Lord will certainly be with us!

Through your generosity and your prayers, Trinity UMC was able to participate in this year’s Rise Up Against Hunger mission effort during the South Carolina Annual Conference of the UMC.
Together, The UMCSC Conference was able to raise over $53,000 and package more than 125,000 meals that will help feed people experiencing food insecurity around the world.

Thank you to every person who gave generously, prayed, packaged meals, and supported this ministry!! Your gifts extend far beyond our walls and our community as they remind us that every small act of faithfulness can make a tremendous difference in the lives of others.

This is what it looks like when the Church comes together to be the hands and feet of Christ.

What happens when Sunday is over?

The prophet Hosea reminds us that God desires more than religious routine. God longs for our hearts to be shaped by steadfast love, mercy, and faith that extend beyond the walls of the church building to be woven into our everyday life.

This Sunday we will explore Hosea 5:15–6:6 and Psalm 33 as we look at what our faith looks like… BEYOND SUNDAY.

Together we will gather at Christ’s Table, celebrate Holy Communion, lift our voices in worship, and be reminded that God's steadfast love is present in our Sunday morning worship and in every moment that follows.

Trinity United Methodist Church is located at 226 West Liberty Street in Sumter, SC where there is space and grace for all! Sunday morning worship begins at 11:00 am. Sunday School begins at 10:00 am.

Come as you are where all are truly welcome to worship God and share community as a faith family who seeks to love boldly, serve joyfully, and lead courageously! Come and experience the grace, hope, and steadfast love of God!

This Sunday evening, June 7, 2026 beginning at 7:00pm, the United Methodist Church of South Carolina will celebrate the Commissioning, Ordination, and Retirement Recognition worship service which will mark a very special milestone in the life of the Trinity UMC family of faith!

Our very own Rev. Paula Stover, whose home church is Trinity United Methodist Church (Sumter) will be commissioned as a provisional elder in The United Methodist Church.

As Paula’s home church, Trinity UMC has had the privilege of witnessing her gifts for ministry for many years. We rejoice in this next step in her journey and celebrate God’s faithfulness in her life and calling.

Paula currently serves as pastor of Socastee United Methodist Church; however, she will forever remain a beloved part of the Trinity UMC faith family, and we give thanks for the ways God has called and equipped her for ministry.

All are invited to attend this special time in the life of the church, and Paula’s ministry journey! The service will be held:
