In addition to hiring a new deputy superintendent and executive director of academics in late May and early June, Sumter School District has filled its project manager opening that goes back about 10 months.

Kenneth Rawls is the new district project manager, a position that was created by former Superintendent William Wright Jr. and approved by Sumter school board last summer in response to the district’s challenges involved in the construction of Crestwood High School’s new football stadium.
