On the road today with Stephen Westmoreland visiting our Sumter County Volunteer Fire Departments. We’re dropping off some sweet treats and inviting our county firefighters to our First Responder Appreciation Day on May 3rd.

RESURRECTION SUNDAY! Join us as we celebrate Christ’s powerful resurrection. We’ll have lots of music, including a special presentation by our choir, as well as a gospel message centered on the Resurrection.

We’ll have one big service starting at 10:30am. We look forward to seeing you!

Note- Nurseries and Children’s services will be provided.

The Lord gave us a great start to our revival meeting on Sunday. A visiting teen girl trusted Christ for salvation and God’s people had their hearts challenged as well.

We were also blessed to announce the addition of Bryce Crouch as our new Youth Pastor. We are excited to have Bryce and Jacey joining us in the summer. We look forward to seeing how God uses them in our church in the days ahead.

Spring Revival Meeting begins tomorrow and runs through Friday night (15th-20th). Evangelist Paul Crowe will be preaching all services.

We start with Combined Adult SS tomorrow at 10AM and Morning Worship at 11 AM.

Mon-Fri services begin at 7pm nightly.

ATTENTION CHURCH FAMILY- Tomorrow morning (03-14) we invite the whole church family to come for our Prayer Breakfast. We will be praying for the Lord to do a reviving work in His church in the days ahead.

Breakfast is served at 8:15am with prayer time to follow. The prayer meeting lasts as long as people are still here praying. We will meet in the Family Life Center.

In tonight’s 6pm service our proposed budget for the fiscal year beginning April 1st will be shared. Pastor Westmoreland will share some information about the budget in the service. The congregation will have a 2 week window to ask questions or share input before the budget vote on the 22nd.

It’s almost time for our annual Wild Game Supper! We are excited to have another great evening of great food, lots of prizes, and a fun evening with other Sportsmen and Outdoorsmen. Look below for what you need to know!

Where- Sumter Baptist Temple, 2295 Harper Street, Sumter, SC

When- Saturday, February 28th at 6pm. Doors open at 5pm.

What- Great food including a variety of Wild Game dishes. Scores of great prizes including a 12 ga. Wi******er Super X pump shotgun with tan camo finish, and a R***r .308 Model A, threaded rifle with Moss Green splatter finish.

Who- Cory Knepshield is returning as our guest speaker. He is an avid, lifelong hunter who loves to share stories from the woods and the story of what God has done for him and for all of us.

How much- Admission, the meal, and the drawings are all FREE. The only stipulation is that you must be present to win the drawings.

ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SUNDAY SERVICES (02/01)-

All services for tomorrow (Sunday, 02/01) are cancelled. Pastor currently plans to livestream a message at our normal service time (11:00AM).

We understand, if you are in the city and near the church, many streets still look fine at the time of this posting. But after driving a wide area of the county this afternoon we find that roads in many areas are already deteriorating.

According to forecasters the heaviest of the snow is still to come. We believe that once the sun goes down, the temps drop, and the snow ramps up things will look very different.

It is always difficult to make this decision. We never do it lightly. We want to be at the Lord's House tomorrow. But our area is not equipped for or accustomed to this weather or the accompanying conditions. We do not want to be indirectly responsible for people getting hurt or property being damaged.

Please try to catch the livestream. We can still worship tomorrow, and we will.
