The Book Pile
Booksellers offering gently-used fiction & non-fiction, mostly paperback. Currently on hold - online sales starting soon. Follow for updates!

Today we wanted to take a minute to share an update about The Book Pile. Unfortunately, we will not be continuing to operate our booth at The Summit Antique Center.
-
We have so greatly enjoyed our time there, and it has been a wonderful home for The Book Pile as we've been getting started. Our decision to not continue with the booth is based on some life changes which have taken place for us over the past few months.
-
By the way - if you don't follow them already, please follow our friends for updates - and curbside pickup info - from the center and its many amazing dealers. (They will be re-opening tomorrow!)
-
Looking ahead, we're going to keep using this account to share our current reads and favorites, and snapshots from the garden. Eventually we'll be starting to offer some titles for sale online. Until then stay well & safe everyone!

Good evening friends! Just wanted to share two reads from the last couple days.
-
๐ง๐ต๐ถ๐ ๐ข๐ฟ๐ด๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐ฐ ๐๐ถ๐ณ๐ฒ: ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ณ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฎ ๐ฆ๐๐ฏ๐๐ฟ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ by Joan Dye Gussow had been fun to read. I enjoy picking it up and randomly flipping through it. Her stories are so well written, and damn useful!
-
Also my first read by Barbara Kingsolver. She blew me away with ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ. Captivating collection of short stories๐ฏ

It's been a quiet start to May but we are slowly inching towards getting some things planted.
-
Some pretty pink flowers, and an old gardening book with beautiful illustrations.
-
I love going to these old garden books for advice and tips, and using the interweb as a last resort.
-
Also not pictured yet, some seeds we started sprouting, hoping to get more veggies in the mix soon๐ฅฌ

Introducing our new logo๐
-
Before the outbreak we had started working with long-time friend .graphic.design to design an official logo for The Book Pile
-
It's hard to find the words to show our appreciation to this wonderful human who was so graciously helped us. .graphic.design was able to take our sketches and turn them into a beautiful business logo.
-
We cannot recommend her enough. The whole process has been a lot of fun, and we hope you like it as much as we do!!
-
Thanks Babs!๐

Hello to all our followers and to any newcomers who might be checking us out for the first time!
-
As you know, our shop at is closed indefinitely and we've taken some time away from Instagram, and social media in general, while we familiarize ourselves with this "new normal". As a result we really miss the interactions we get from and online here. We promise we haven't forgotten about any of you!
-
For now we will continue to post our current reads (even if they end up being screenshots of EBOOKS), book recommendations, our gardening adventures, and maybe even some podcast suggestions!
-
We hope you enjoy, and thanks again for the love and support as we all work our way through this pandemic.
-
We hope that you are healthy and well. Much love, and take care everyone!๐
