Weekend road trip in the 82 Safari 911…. Headed to Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge, hopefully to spot an American Bald Eagle. First pic is north end of Canandaigua Lake, and sunrise on Seneca Lake in Geneva… look close for the mature Eagle in the dead tree. ( most likely looking for breakfast) What a great way to spend a Sunday!!!

After weekends is bad weather, we finally got a good break in run. 1980 911SC, now a 3.2 litre(98mm bore, short stroke) “Indygo” performed freakin awesome… D.Elgin Cams, Wilwood brakes, Stomski racing shifter, Pirelli P-7 sneakers, and tons more.

We’re having hundred of thousands of miles of FUN, but she’s a ‘drinker’ and only premium, top shelf!!!

Spring is in the air, time to get it together and drive it.

It’s nice when you look out the window and your Porsche 928 smiles back at you as if saying “Take me to work today” or maybe it’s saying “Skip work and let’s burn through some petrol”.

After seeing Rob Ida and his friends sliding around in the mud, I went down memory lane. Playing in the dirt is good for the soul!! When you’re sliding sideways into a turn at 150+ mph with 830 horsepower and 788 foot pounds of torque with 23 other crazy drivers around you doing the same thing, nothing else matters….in retrospect I’m glad to be here after all that. But playing in the dirt is like an itch you can’t scratch but it feels good to itch it anyway!! # elbowsup

Safari- Not just for Off Road, but Urban Terrain as well AKA Roughroads.

Feeling spring like, took the 928 to Asbury Park for a good morning run on the Garden State Parkway- buried the speedometer.

As the 1980 911 SC progresses, the thought of having a great engine is followed up by great brakes, that have 4 piston calipers, with 12 inch front discs that fit behind a Fuchs wheel,and full suspension upgrades.

Winter project, 1980 911SC engine rebuild 3.0 -3.2 10.1:1 CR with Elgin super SC cams, more to follow.
