Rebuilding strength after surgery isn’t just about making an exercise harder — it’s about choosing the right load in the right position.
Here, we’re using a resisted step-up with terminal knee extension to target quad strength while improving tolerance to functional movement. By adding terminal knee extension resistance, we can often reduce anterior knee pain during step-ups, especially in patients with patellofemoral involvement.
The goal isn’t just to “work out.” It’s to restore confidence, control, and strength that transfers back to real life. 💪
At Summit PT, rehab is individualized, progressive, and built around how your body responds.
