Here are messages from Parma Head Coach Kieran Moss and Brad Wilson, parent manager (2023-2025). Also thanks to most recent parent manager Ryan Mottesheard. Parma earned a nice come-from-behind tie Sunday to conclude the team’s SSC journey.
“I’m very proud of this team, not only for their performances throughout the season, but also for the lovely people that they are. This group always showed up on time with a great attitude, good vibes, and even better effort. These are the things that extend beyond the soccer field and will transfer into whatever the girls decide to pursue in the future. I have no doubts that they will be successful.
It has been an honor and privilege to coach this team! Best of luck in the future!” -Coach Kieran

“Parma has been such a special team to watch over the years. The girls always worked hard, supported one another, and most importantly had fun every time they stepped on the pitch. We saw many terrific players come and go across the seasons, and each and every one brought the same enthusiasm for the game and competitive spirit. The amount of growth—both individually and as a unit—was wonderful to see, and it is a credit to the girls and all of their terrific coaches (Tommy, Alex, Kieran and Dave).
It’s sad to see this chapter come to an end, but the memories and bonds that Parma created will last. I wish the girls all the best in soccer and in life beyond the game in the years ahead.” — Brad Wilson

It has been a fascinating journey with many highs and few lows during my time with Union in the last three years.
Although we lost some games in the beginning, players always showed up to practices with a positive attitude and the will to get better.
The team soon started winning. And we when did, the boys kept going with only one loss in two seasons, and bested stronger opponents to win a tournament.
More importantly, these boys have also developed into young gentlemen and fine athletes with a promising future.
I will miss the boys and wish them all the best. U14 Union Head Coach Igor Vandenberg. ***Union played its last game as a SSC team last weekend.

SSC Lazio players played their final game this past Sunday. They cruised to a 4-0 victory, capping six amazing years of development and competition all under the tutelage of Coach Tommy Owens.

Courtney Kumpf, who has been Lazio’s parent manager since its inception in Fall 2020, shared this: “We’ve had the privilege of watching them grow not only as soccer players, but as teammates, friends, and young women. From learning the fundamentals to competing at a high level, they’ve shown dedication, resilience, sportsmanship, and heart every step of the way. It’s been an amazing journey, and we’re so proud of all they’ve achieved together. We know they are all going to go on to do great things, and we’ll continue to cheer them on from the sidelines of their lives in true Lazio fashion.”
