Happy Mother's Day, y'all. πΈ
To the mamas, the grandmamas, the bonus mamas, and the women who mothered us when we needed it most β today is for you. Thank you for the porch lessons, the Sunday suppers, and the kind of love that just keeps showing up.
If you missed our May AZALEA Insider, we put together a little love letter to the mamas of the Lowcountry β where to take her, what to make her, and why the slow Sunday is the gift she really wants. New to Insider? Stay connected here --> https://theazalea.com/subscribe/

If you're new here β welcome. Here's what you need to know about us. πΈ
AZALEA Magazine has been the editorial voice of Summerville and the Lowcountry for over 15 years. We've been sharing the real stories - from hidden history to the artists and musicians and business owners building something remarkable here, to the extraordinary homes, places, and experiences that make this one of the fastest growing communities in the South.
A few things that set us apart:
πΈ We are the only truly editorial magazine in the region β and we are proudly independent. Not a franchise. Not a template. Every issue is designed and edited entirely in-house, with the creative control that produces a publication on par with national brands.
πΈ Every story we publish is there because it deserves to be told. Editorial and creative is something we protect and it shows on every page.
πΈ Our reach is real. 80,000+ readers per issue. 300+ carefully placed distribution points across 15 counties β from Summerville's historic downtown to businesses, visitor centers, and curated events throughout the region. And a digital audience that's growing every month.
πΈ For the businesses and brands who call the Lowcountry home β AZALEA is a true multi-platform partner. Our readers find us in print, in their inboxes through the AZALEA Insider newsletter, and across our growing digital channels. Your brand is woven into a community of engaged, loyal, local readers across every touchpoint, every month.
πΈ We've covered more historic homes in Summerville than any other publication. And we are honored to serve as the exclusive publication partner for Summerville's Historic Homes & Gardens Tour.
Rooted in Summerville. Reaching the Lowcountry. Telling the stories that matter.
If you're just finding us β we're really glad you're here. πΈ
πΈ Spring issue available now
03/07/2026
Our Spring Double Issue has arrived β and we couldn't be more proud of this one. πΈ
Gracing our cover are Gray Benko and Chelcie Eastman of Magnolia Network's Anything But Gray. We sat with them on the now-famous pink sofa and talked about color, character, and why the boldest thing you can do at home might just be to be authentically yourself. It's inside.
And what a weekend to celebrate the character of home. AZALEA was honored to serve as the exclusive publication partner of Summerville's inaugural Historic Homes & Gardens Tour β five breathtaking private homes, century-old architecture, and stories in every room.
This issue is our love letter to the Lowcountry β to its history, its homes, and the remarkable people who make it unlike anywhere else.
Pick up your complimentary copy at select locations in Summerville, Charleston and throughout the surrounding area or subscribe and have it delivered directly to your door.
To Gray and Chelcie, to everyone who opened their doors, and to every person who walked the tour this weekend β thank you!
