We don't normally do this but this is family and you all have become family in many ways!
First and foremost, Please pray for answers and miracle healing for her body. Second, if you can and are led to donate or share this message, don't hesitate because they can't do this alone. They have been trying for so long and have exhausted every resource available for treatments. This is the next step....
Many of you know that our daughter, Jordyn, has been battling complex medical conditions for years, including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Dopa-Responsive Dystonia, dysautonomia, chronic pain, and Miserable Malalignment Syndrome. Recently, specialists have also raised concerns about the beginning stages of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA), adding yet another layer to an already complex medical journey.
What many don't see are the countless doctor's appointments, therapies, testing, sleepless nights, and the daily struggle of trying to help a child who is hurting. Some days Jordyn is able to push through and enjoy being a teenager. Other days, pain, fatigue, joint instability, and muscle issues make even the simplest tasks difficult.
Over the years, we have traveled extensively throughout Florida seeking answers. Despite seeing numerous specialists, undergoing imaging, testing, and therapies, we still have many unanswered questions and continue searching for treatments that can improve her quality of life and help preserve her mobility and independence.
This August, Jordyn has the opportunity to travel from Florida to Rhode Island to be evaluated by specialists with extensive experience treating complex connective tissue disorders, hypermobility syndromes, and related neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. We are hopeful that this appointment will provide new insight, treatment recommendations, and a path forward that we have not yet been able to find closer to home.
The trip requires specialist fees, airfare, ground transportation, and other travel-related expenses.
Asking for help is not easy, but many friends, family members, and supporters have followed Jordyn's journey and asked how they can help. If you feel led to donate, every contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping us access this specialized medical care and the travel required to reach it.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Jordyn in your thoughts and prayers means just as much to our family.
Jordyn is one of the strongest people we know. Despite the pain, uncertainty, and challenges she faces, she continues to create, dream, and find ways to bring laughter to others. We remain hopeful that this trip will bring us one step closer to answers and a better quality of life for her.
Thank you for supporting Jordyn and helping us continue the search for the care she deserves.
With gratitude,
Alyssa & Family

Hung up a couple of pictures to tie in the brown/kakhi couch and table area.

And now for the final touch! BACKSPLASH!
This isn't just any old backsplash. This was very detailed, A LOT of small pieces, glass which is much harder, and to be completely honest- should not be installed by anyone who is not meticulous and has decades of experience. Trust me on this one. The dark gray grout added more pop to the gray cabinets which allowed for the white tile and white quartz countertops to stand out. I'm nit a designer by any means but I can bring your vision to fruition.

The homeowner liked the old window arch look and even though it cost more it added a detailed look that wouldn't have been in the more traditional style. Also added crown molding throughout and had to post one more time the accent wall. Its starting to come together.

New garbage disposal because that wasn't a thing in the 70's and when you upgrade you make sure you have "all the things."

I put the flooring down and then added kick plates and custom trim around the cabinets to the homeowners specifications. She didn't like what came with it so we designed each area to her liking.

Sink was installed right before the countertops with a new drop in single sink instead of the old double sink. Also created a custom windowsill to go around the faucet and water filter spigot because homeowners didn't want to lose that extra spot for their knicknacks and small plants.

And to end Friday with another door because everyone knows we love doors around here, we updated the kitchen to match all existing doors inside.
