PSA: Your SEPTIC SYSTEM will not freeze during the coming cold weather. However if you have an aerobic system the sprinkler heads CAN freeze. We’re NOT the last word on the subject-please contact your installer for advice on your specific system. But if it seems your heads have frozen, take a bucket of warm water to thaw the spray heads on an as needed basis. This will keep your pump from trying to push water out of heads that are too frozen to ‘pop up’. The sprinkler LINES should be underground enough to prevent freezing.

Pardon the language-but this is funny!
PSA: You need to pour warm/hot water on your sprinkler heads to thaw them out & let your pump run at LEAST once a day. Maybe more depending on water usage. Your system shouldn’t freeze under ground but your sprinkler heads will, not allowing your pump to run.
