5th Day Fossil:
The Lee Creek Mine in North Carolina is a world-renowned hotspot for dolphin fossils from the Miocene Epoch. Here you can find teeth, vertebrae, and even complete skeletons of extinct species from long ago.
These discoveries, often made during phosphate mining, showcase dolphins with unique features and offer crucial insights into the marine mammalian life of that location.
The Miocene seas had a far greater variety of dolphins than today, with extinct families existing alongside early forms of modern dolphin groups
While Im unsure what kind of dolphin this belongs to, it can be narrowed down to a few different species, like Squalodon, extinct long-snouted dolphins (Eurhinodelphis), and early river dolphins (Araeodelphis).
Newer Discoveries can also include the early suction-feeding dolphin Inermorostrum xenops (from nearby SC but indicative of the region's richness) and Ankylorhiza, a giant ancient dolphin.
The bones in these pictures are all associated, and can be found in store for $350 for the entire collection.

5th Day Fossil:
Amber is formed when heat and pressure from overlying sediment causes tree resin to chemically change. This is a process called polymerization, which drives off volatile compounds, preserves decay with rapid burial, and hardens into fossilized material.
"Bug and fiber "inclusions" provide scientists with incredible, detailed windows into past ecosystems, offering insights into the behavior and adaptation of ancient creatures like ants, beetles, flies, and even fungi" -Smithsonian Magazine.
Amber has been found to contain a wide variety of life, including insects, arachnids, and plants, as well as larger animals like lizards and frogs, and even the feathers and tail of a dinosaur. It also contains details like their soft tissues, skin, and fur, which can provide incredible detail.
