The Strain-Japan R-XVI School District currently has a Board Director vacancy. This position will be held until the April 2027 election. Generally, the board meets once per month. Interested persons may fill out the Application for a Vacated Board Position, available in the Documents folder on the school website at strainjapanschool.com, or call or email the school office to request a copy. Applications must be received in the school office by June 15th. The board will review applications and appoint a candidate at the regular June board meeting scheduled for June 18th at 6:00 p.m. For questions, please call 573-677-1815 or email [email protected].

Students held a lemonade stand during Field Day and were able to present a check of $161.40 to St. Louis Children's Hospital!

🎉🚌 8th Grade Class Trip 2026 🎉🚌

Our 8th grade students had an incredible class trip filled with fun, learning, and unforgettable memories! From splashing and relaxing at Great Wolf Lodge 🌊🐾 to exploring history at the WWI Museum 🇺🇸, every stop was an adventure.

Students also enjoyed discovering marine life at the Aquarium 🐠, visiting Bass Pro Shops 🎣, sharing a delicious dinner at Famous Dave’s BBQ 🍖, and having a unique lunch experience at Fritz’s Train Depot 🚂🍔.

Thank you to our students, staff, and chaperones for making this trip such a success. The memories made will last a lifetime! ❤️
