Please read all the way to the end. Something genuinely magical took place at the store on Saturday, August 1st, and we just had to share it.
​A deeply heartfelt thank you to everyone who spent their day with us, and we are double-thanking everyone who fully participated. You are all truly wonderful, and we appreciate you more than we can say!
​Here is what happened: We have a motion-activated item in the store that had somehow been switched on. At some point, a customer walked by it, and it suddenly started playing that classic "oldie but goodie," I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing.
​Out of nowhere, one incredible gentleman started singing along. What happened next was pure spontaneous joy—it seemed like almost everyone in the entire store joined in! A few people even broke into a minor jig!
​Watching a room full of strangers and friends create that instant, unexpected community is why we do what we do. It’s why this store is a "happy place." It was amazing to watch and to be a part of. The vibe of the entire day was unmatched, and it simply couldn't have happened without the fantastic, supportive community (you!) that fills our store.
