As a Farmer’s wife, I was surprised recently when I made a comment to my husband about RoundUp and he told me it was actually false information. It was something I see so often on social media, especially among the crunchy/holistic communities I am a part of, and it got me thinking….how much other misunderstood or false info is out there? What better way to get your answers than go straight to the source? Farmers work HARD to feed the world, they aren’t trying to hurt anyone, and they are proud of the work they do and would love to talk about it.

Here's what happens after harvest, in a nutshell!

🥜 Once peanuts are harvested, they are sent to a shelling company buying station, where they are sampled and graded by the Federal-State Inspection Service to determine their value.

🥜 The inspectors will establish the meat content, size of pods, kernel size, and moisture content of the peanuts. They will also look for any damaged kernels or foreign materials.

🥜 The results of the inspection determine the overall quality and value of each load of peanuts!
