Have you ever wondered why some leaders seem to navigate challenges with such wisdom and grace while others (despite similar knowledge and experience) repeatedly stumble over the same obstacles?
Or why certain leadership situations bring out your best while others consistently trigger your worst?
Friend, I've asked these questions too – and the answer often comes down to one powerful truth: self-awareness is the gateway to exceptional leadership!
When I began approaching self-awareness as a spiritual discipline rather than just a leadership technique, everything shifted.
This spiritual practice of leadership self-reflection includes these key disciplines:
Regular Honest Inventory –
Create consistent times to examine your motives, reactions, patterns, and internal drivers with courageous honesty.
This might look like a weekly reflection time where you review significant leadership moments from the past week.
Invited Accountability –
Develop relationships with trusted people who have permission to speak truth about your blind spots and growth edges.
These aren't just casual friendships but intentional relationships where you've explicitly invited specific people to help you see what you can't see about yourself.
Contemplative Listening –
Practice the discipline of sitting quietly with God, asking Him to reveal both your gifts and your growth areas.
This goes beyond regular prayer time to include intentional periods of listening silence where we ask God specific questions about our leadership and then wait attentively for His gentle insights.
Feedback Reception –
Cultivate the humility to receive input about your leadership impact without defensiveness or justification.

There's no "best" personality type for leadership.
Your personality significantly shapes your leadership approach.
The introvert who leads through deep relationships and thoughtful decisions is just as effective as the extrovert who leads through dynamic presence and quick action – they're simply different expressions of leadership excellence.
Understanding how you naturally process information, make decisions, and interact with others helps you create leadership approaches that work WITH your wiring rather than against it.
Do you need time alone to process decisions, or do you think best by talking things through?
Do you naturally focus on big picture vision or concrete details?
Do you lead from the heart or the head?
Are you energized by many interactions or do you need significant alone time to recharge?
None of these preferences makes you a better or worse leader – but understanding them helps you design your leadership life in ways that let you show up as your best self rather than constantly fighting against your natural grain.
For example, I've learned that I'm someone who needs processing time before making important decisions.
Early in my leadership, I felt pressured to give immediate answers and make on-the-spot decisions because that's what I thought strong leaders did.
But I consistently made better decisions when I had time to think things through.
Once I understood this about my wiring, I gave myself permission to say, "That's a great question. Let me think about it and get back to you by tomorrow."
This simple adjustment to honor my processing style dramatically improved my decision-making quality.

What if I told you that every decision you make about your dream today is shaping how you'll be remembered tomorrow?
Whether you claim it intentionally or not, you're creating a legacy right now. The dreams you pursue, the risks you take, the people you impact—it all adds up to something bigger than you might realize.
Jim Rohn said: "All good men and women must take responsibility to create legacies that will take the next generation to a level we could only imagine."
But here's what I've discovered after working with hundreds of Christian female entrepreneurs...
Most of us drastically underestimate the significance of our dreams. We think our "small" contribution doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things.
That's the biggest lie we tell ourselves.
World changers are humanitarians by nature—their dreams make others' lives better, whether in specific communities or across the globe.
Your dreams aren't just about you. They're about the lives you'll touch, the communities you'll impact, and the doors you'll open for the women coming behind you.
Want to understand the real significance of YOUR dream? And discover how to build something that creates lasting change beyond your lifetime?

Here's what nobody tells you about building your God-sized dream:
You can't do it alone. (And trying to will exhaust you!)
As Ecclesiastes 4:12 reminds us: "A person standing alone can be easily attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken."
But here's where most people mess this up completely...
They think any help is good help. They grab whoever's available, whoever has resources, or whoever seems enthusiastic—and then wonder why they're frustrated and burned out six months later.
I learned this the hard way, and I've got some stories about the wrong people I chose before I figured out the right way.
The truth? There are three non-negotiable traits you need in dream team members, and missing even one of them will cost you months (maybe years) of spinning your wheels.
Plus, once you find the right people, you have to transfer your vision in three specific ways—or they'll never catch what you're really building.
