Okay Nevada is actually pretty cool 🌞
We pulled into a princess parking lot in the first lot of the Red rock scenic drive. We started off the day with Nico leading a 5.7 and 5.8. Tall, juggy climbs with some fun moves and great views!
We took a lunch break, made some sandwiches.
Then we went to look for a different wall that ended up being much busier but we found a 5.6 for me to lead. We ended the day with a 5.8.
We got back to the car just in time to watch sunset in the canyon as we drove the scenic drive out.

Climbing in Nevada! 🧗🎉
We left Idaho and drove straight to the south of Nevada. Unfortunately it rained on the way there so we had to figure out a new plan for the next day of climbing. We found a crag made of limestone and spent the day there climbing.
Nico lead a few 5.7-8climbs and got humbled by a 5.9 😅. I got to lead again with a 5.5 and 5.6. It’s been awhile since I’ve lead anything so it felt good to be back!
The limestone was sharp and we left with sore hands and plenty of scrapes but we had so much fun at this crag and it’s definitely a good option when you shouldn’t get on the sandstone.
Hi we’re Amy and Nico, we’re we work seasonally and travel out of our Tacoma. Follow us for more outdoor adventures and inspiration!

Reunited and it feels so good 🥲
Took a one way ticket to Idaho to meet back up with Nico now that his winter job is over.
We’re back on the road briefly and stopping a few places to climb on the way.
Our first stop being the climbing Mecca of Idaho, The City of Rocks national preserve.
A little over 14,000 acres with about 700 developed routes. With granite spires ranging for 30-600 ft high offering all types of climbing from traditional to sport climbing, single and multi pitch routes.
The area was so beautiful with granite rocks just popping out of the ground from what seems to be out of nowhere.
Nico hasn’t climbed in months so we choose a 5.8 and 5.7 to climb. With Nico leading the 5.8 which turned out to be pretty overhung and spicy but he killed it with no falls. Both super fun climbs! We would definitely love to come back here and climb some more.
