Each of us has a unique language that we have to learn to tap in to. Learning this language — whether within ourselves or in someone else — is all that “mindfulness” really means. One of the greatest joys in life is that moment when you suddenly “get” what someone has been trying to say and all the fear or anxiety of being misunderstood simply melts away.
So what do people with s actually see? And is it influenced by their culture?

While I understand the desire to leverage in this way for therapy, presently it remains problematic for both and reasons, and in my view would cause more harm than any benefit it might provide.
Whether ’s posts were or not depends largely on how you understand the question. But even if an organization like the ACA ultimately did not decide it was a violation of their minimal standards doesn’t mean you are wrong if you found it violated yours, and we can and should have our own higher standards as well.
’s needs to start with allowing for deeper intimacy with others that isn’t s*xualized.
One of the deeper issues with ’s video is its roots in individualism. The way out of SA is moving toward and practicing decoupled from *x and power.
to R**e fantasies don’t predict acting on them, and a lack of do. This conversation on the R**e Academy isn’t simply about a spectrum it’s about a categorical discussion of ethics, misogyny, and core values.
We folks actually have our own thoughts, feelings, and are even allowed to enjoy our lives!
The title has taken on specific meaning, and appreciating that nuance is important for , , and laypeople.
Your feelings are always valid doesn’t mean your feelings are always right. They’re reflexive, so focus more on what to do with them in the moment than beating yourself up for having them.
