it will never be ‘enough’. all this talk about “20 minutes a day per kid is enough’ or a being a “2-hour mom”… even your presence 24 hours a day wouldn’t suffice to keep a child safe in a world no longer conducive to children at all. i am begging you- do the MOST. never let anyone tell you to ‘relax’. this is not the time. never let anyone tell you you’re ‘doing too much’. that is not possible.
it is not on kids to be resilient. it is on us to be careful. so careful. each year of their development happens once. that’s it. and they are fixed for life with whatever was given to them in that time. they are the most precious, valuable, fragile beings on Earth. and they are being stalked by a very real enemy. we must be careful. we must ‘do too much’. we must sacrifice more for them than they are ever required to sacrifice for us, for governments, for corporations or for the bottom line. we must stop the wars, so they can know peace. we must be wide awake, so they can rest. we must absorb the tidal waves of information overload, technology, news and terror- so they can be truly human children for as long as possible. our future will only look like the people we raise up for it. this is God’s actual work in our hands. and the enemy is faster, smarter and cooler than ever. stay on high alert, mamas and dads! rebuke, rinse, repeat ♻️✨
