There is no letting go of grief. Just befriending. Welcoming in the life long friend that you never asked for. Like Peter Pans shadow, always there. Sewn in your being. It will walk beside you until the end of your time. Some days you stand tall, and the shadow is merely non existent. Other days every step you take this immense force is there..larger than your self. I share these thoughts/feelings because grief is so deeply lonely at times, unfortunately it is a part of life. Maybe me excavating my own grief will allow me to sit with others when they experience grief, to hold space for them, and for myself. Tell the people you love that you love them. Everyday. Talk about the people that have gone on and share their love. Life is hard, but it’s worth living with love in it 💕

tomorrow morning 8:30am I will be teaching a ✨free✨ mobility/yoga class for my run club at Woodbridge park! Even though the invite says this event is for runners, truly it’s for any human. Running= Connection. Empowerment. Acceptance. Drive. Stability. Community. Friends. Growth. Escape. Opportunities. Discovery. Adventure. Freedom.
These are just a few things that running has given me over the last 6 years. Running has always been special to me, but it wasn’t until I joined a few run clubs over a year ago that I realized what the missing puzzle pieces were: friends and community. After what we have all been through over the last year and a half, I believe we need community/connection/friends/nature/self care. This is how was created. A Studio City Run Club and mental health advocacy. I am really really excited about this and I want to share what running has and continues to do for me and my life to everyone!
