RECOGNIZING THE RIGHT OF WAY
A right of way is more than just the roadway. It often includes sidewalks, drainage swales, utility corridors, signs, and landscaping that support public infrastructure.

This week, we recognize the dedicated professionals who help manage and maintain the public spaces that support our roads, traffic signals, utilities, and infrastructure. Their work helps keep Martin County safe, connected, and moving forward.

👷RIGHT OF WAY PROFESSIONALS WEEK 👷‍♀️ Roads, sidewalks, drainage improvements, utility projects, and trails all have one thing in common: They often require right of way professionals to secure the space needed to build and maintain them.

During Right of Way Professionals Week, we thank the team members who help turn plans into projects and projects into community improvements.

🚴‍♂️ RIDE THE TRAILS, KNOW THE RULES 🚴‍♂️ New signs are now posted at Halpatiokee Regional Park to help riders navigate the park's mountain bike trail E-bike policy.

Under Florida law, Class 1 E-bikes are considered bicycles and are welcome on the trail. Class 2 and Class 3 E-bikes are prohibited on the Halpatiokee Mountain Bike Trail in accordance with park rules.

Not sure what class your E-bike falls under? The new signs break down each classification so you can ride with confidence before you hit the dirt.

Thanks for doing your part to keep the trails safe and enjoyable!
