What an incredible weekend at USAAS Rising Stars Camp! 🌟 Our athletes had the chance to learn from National Team and collegiate coaches and (drumroll, please…) Lead Coach and Olympic silver medalist Anita Alvarez! It was an unforgettable opportunity to grow, train, and be inspired. 💪✨

Huge thanks to , and for hosting such a meaningful experience. Our swimmers are coming home motivated, stronger, and ready to keep reaching for new heights! 💫

What a week at the 2025 Junior Olympics—an unforgettable championship made even more special by being held here in our home state of Texas. From our 12U swimmers competing at their very first JOs, to our Senior Reina Zou in her final competition, we’re incredibly proud of the strength, focus, and team spirit our athletes showed throughout the week.

At the same time, we recognize that this week ended in heartbreak for many in our Texas swimming community. Our thoughts are with those who are grieving in the wake of the tragic flooding in the Guadalupe River Valley—including teams and their families from across Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and right here in Austin. We are holding you in our hearts.🕊️

Excellence in coaching is the backbone of our success, and we’re incredibly grateful to the 🇺🇸 USA Artistic Swimming Foundation for their generous educational grant. Thanks to their support, Coach Cora and Melanie were able to complete their CCP courses—taking their skills, and our team, to the next level. Thank you, ! 🙏

How long have you been artistic swimming?: 8 years

Earliest synchro memory: Having to do 10 back tucks because I would never do them correctly!

Favorite element: Flying fish

Favorite routine: Tech solo

Where are you going to college/what do you plan to study? Texas A&M to study biology and buisness

What will you miss most about being an Angelfish?: I’ll miss the team and all the good times we had together, and how supportive we are of each other.

Reina, your skill, artistry and commitment have made you such a valued teammate and we will miss you next season. 🫶

📣BIG NEWS: We are thrilled to introduce our new Head Coach: Cora Mora Martinez!✨ Cora hails from Colombia, and has over 15 years of experience training and coaching artistic swimmers, including as Assistant Coach of the National Teams of both Chile 🇨🇱 and Aruba 🇦🇼. But let’s hear from Coach Cora herself:

“I am a physical therapist by profession and am currently pursuing an international master’s degree in sports physiotherapy. My approach combines technical knowledge with a holistic view of the athlete, placing a special emphasis on discipline, perseverance, and teamwork”
