💙 Bringing cheer to Molly’s House — in every sense of the word! 📣✨
Last week, we had the joy of welcoming the Martin County High School JV Cheer Team into our kitchen for two special days of creativity, connection, and fun.
Day one was filled with cupcake decorating 🧁, and day two brought cookie decorating 🍪 and painted seashell keepsakes 🐚. The best part? Each cheer group ended their visit with a special cheer for our guests — and the kids absolutely loved it!
These moments are what make Molly’s House feel like home. Beyond providing a place to stay during medical treatment, we create opportunities for families to smile, connect, and make memories during challenging times.
A huge thank you to the MCHS Football Cheer Team for sharing your time, talents, and school spirit with our families. You truly brought the cheer! 💙

Sunday nights at Molly’s House have a way of feeling different.
After long weeks of appointments, treatments, and hospital days, families often step outside into our garden just to breathe a little.
Sometimes it’s a quiet walk under the lights.
Sometimes it’s a parent sitting on a bench watching their child play.
Sometimes it’s a moment of laughter that doesn’t revolve around medical schedules.
In this photo, one of our young guests race through the garden paths on his scooter while the soft lights glow around him. He’s a little blurred in motion . . . too busy enjoying the moment to stand still for a picture.
And honestly, that feels exactly right.
For a few minutes, it’s just childhood again. Not appointments. Not waiting rooms. Just a Sunday night outside with family.
These are the moments that carry families forward through everything they’re facing.
Simple. Ordinary. And deeply needed.
Because healing journeys are long . . . but Sunday nights still belong to families.

At Molly’s House, one night of care costs about $100 to provide.
That includes the room itself, utilities, supplies, cleaning, upkeep, and the countless small things that help guests feel safe and supported while traveling for medical care.
But what guests receive here is far more than a room.
They receive:
A breath between appointments.
A moment to regroup.
A place to stay together.
A soft space during hard seasons of life.
Some things simply can’t be measured in dollars.

Last night, we were truly blessed to welcome four incredible women into our Chef for a Day kitchen—Arlene Leibman, Karen Sinco, Randi Garsten, and Roseanne Slomowitz.
They each drove about 40 minutes from home to spend their evening at Molly’s House, not just bringing dinner, but bringing comfort, warmth, and care to the families staying with us.
The meal they prepared was everything a long day calls for—roast chicken, fresh salad, mac and cheese, roasted corn, and homemade brownies with ice cream for dessert. A full table, thoughtfully prepared, and served with so much heart.
Even more meaningful, they had the chance to meet a few of our families in person, offering encouragement, conversation, and a reminder that they are surrounded by a community that truly cares.
Moments like these are what Chef for a Day is all about: simple meals that carry extraordinary kindness.

This year, Molly’s House will celebrate something truly special:
30 years of opening our doors to families traveling for medical care.
As we look ahead to our anniversary on September 21, we find ourselves reflecting on the people who made this house possible from the very beginning — especially Kevin and Debby.
Although Molly was not here to see the grand opening of the house that now carries her name, her dream became a reality through the unwavering dedication of her parents.
Thirty years later, Kevin and Debby continue to pour their hearts into Molly’s House, offering kindness, guidance, and comfort to the guests who walk through these doors every day.
They are true legends in our community, and we are endlessly grateful for the compassion and determination that built this house into what it is today.
This milestone also belongs to all of you — our supporters, volunteers, donors, partners, and friends — who have carried Molly’s House forward through the years. Because of this community, thousands of families have found rest, support, and care during some of life’s most difficult moments.
For those who would like to celebrate with us, please save the date for our 30th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, November 7th.

This week, we had the honor of celebrating an incredible milestone at Molly’s House — Helga’s 20th year of volunteering with us.
Twenty years of showing up.
Twenty years of kindness.
Twenty years of quietly helping care for the families who pass through these doors.
Over the years, Helga has supported Molly’s House through so many seasons, and her presence has become such a meaningful part of this home. Her dedication, compassion, and servant heart have touched more lives than she probably even realizes.
To celebrate this special anniversary, we surprised her with German cookies and a small gift of appreciation: a beautiful diary and pen set, perfect for someone who loves to journal and reflect.
It was especially meaningful to have Mimi present the gift to her, as Mimi is the only staff member who has been here throughout Helga’s entire volunteer journey with Molly’s House.
Volunteers like Helga are part of the heart and history of this house, and we are endlessly grateful for the love and care she has poured into our mission for the past two decades.
Thank you, Helga. We love you dearly.

Yesterday, we had the joy of celebrating our sweet Sarah and the baby girl she will soon welcome into the world.
Molly’s House has always been a home for patients and families receiving medical care, but days like this remind us that it is also a home for our staff, volunteers, board members, and Molly’s family.
It is a home where we celebrate life’s special moments and each other. A place where people gather around the table, share stories, laugh, support one another, and feel connected.
We were especially grateful to have Molly’s mom with us for this special celebration, and to Polly for providing such a beautiful breakfast.
And a very special thank you to Mimi—who has been part of Molly’s House for over 25 years and truly is the heart of this home. She made everything feel so special with her beautiful decorations, along with the help of our amazing volunteers.
Sarah, you are so loved by your Molly’s House family. We cannot wait to meet your…(our) baby girl! 🥰

Volunteer Week Spotlight
Today, we’re recognizing the incredible team from Cresco Labs for stepping up in a big way for our Polo Classic.
Their team handled the heavy lifting—helping us set up ahead of the event and then returning days after the event to pack everything away, sort through rentals, and restore Molly’s House back to a functioning space for our families.
Because of their support, we were able to seamlessly transition from event mode back to what matters most—caring for our guests.
We are so grateful for companies like Cresco Labs who empower their employees to give back during the workday and show up for our mission in such a meaningful way.
