The Stuart Police Department’s Law Enforcement Explorer post offers young men and women who are interested in the field of law enforcement.
Exploring is a work site-based program for young men and women who have completed the eighth grade and are 14 years of age, or are 15 years of age but have not yet reached their 21st birthday. The Stuart Police Department’s Law Enforcement Explorer post offers young men and women who are interested in the field of law enforcement with quality learning and lots of fun-filled, hands-on activities that promote members’ personal growth and development. Even if you are not interested in the field of law enforcement, our program can teach you the leadership and life skills necessary to succeed in any field. Stuart police officers and volunteers guide youth members in Exploring’s five areas of emphasis: career opportunities, life skills, citizenship, character education, and leadership experience. To these ends, Explorers have unique opportunities to receive training in various policing skills, ride along with officers on patrol, assist the police department at special events and parades, provide service to their community and take leadership roles within the organization. The Stuart Police Explorers are registered with the Learning-for-Life organization. Learning for Life provides programs that are designed to support schools and other youth-serving organizations in their efforts toward preparing youth to successfully handle the complexities of today's society and to enhance their self-confidence, motivation, and self-worth. Learning for Life also helps youth develop social and life skills, assists in character development, and helps them formulate positive personal values. Stuart Police Explorers DO NOT: bust house parties, buy alcohol for underage sale stings, or narc on friends at school. They DO: ride along with road patrol officers, direct traffic, provide crowd control, and participate in parades and other special events in and around the City of Stuart. Participation in our Explorer program is a good way to earn volunteer or community service hours needed for college admission.

Our Explorers recently took part in an annual local competition. Their hard work proved itself by them securing 3rd place overall, 2nd in Crisis intervention, and 2nd in Active shooter. Great job, team

Come support the Explorers and park in the closest parking lot to the Boat Show. The Parking lot is located on the north side of the Boat Show at the intersection of NW. Oleander St. and NW. Dixie Highway. 
All proceeds go directly to the Explorers who are putting in the hard work and dedication to the post.

Yesterday, our remarkable kids took part in the 9/11 Memorial Walk, remembering the valiant men and women who laid down their lives for our future. Their footsteps echoed with reverence and gratitude, demonstrating that the legacy of courage and sacrifice will forever be engraved in our hearts.
