PSL Police showed off a new $28 million training facility built to sharpen officer skills and improve public safety.

The center features an indoor gun range, virtual reality simulators, and a tactical shoot house, according to CBS12. The facility is now in use.

The investment is aimed at better preparing officers for real-world scenarios while keeping training in-house.

At this month's Treasure Coast Chiefs of Police and Sheriffs Association luncheon, Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek presented St. Lucie County Sheriff Richard Del Toro with an Appreciation Award in recognition of his leadership and dedicated service as the Association's President over the past year.

The Treasure Coast Chiefs of Police and Sheriffs Association brings law enforcement leaders together each month to discuss emerging public safety issues, strengthen regional partnerships, and collaborate on the challenges facing our communities.
