When the ministry task in front of you is attainable and familiar, all you will need is your expertise.

But when the ministry task in front of you is beyond you and unfamiliar, you realize you will need to be empowered by the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:1-5 ESV
And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling, and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

If God won't take you out of it, pray for His strength to get you through it.
.. and pay attention to what God teaches you as He gets you through it.

God is building some unused muscles that will strengthen your life for future opportunities.

Following Jesus does not mean we won't experience pain. Discouragement, depression, fear, and anxiety still come. Like a wave in the ocean, these feelings can crash on you. However, they don't last. If you hold on to Jesus, these emotions simply come and then they pass.

I have found that the key to enduring negative emotions is to stand through them. Just like standing on the shore of the ocean, I must dig in my legs, have a strong core (spirit), and stand in the midst of them.

Ephesians 6:13..you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

This is my beautiful wife. We are celebrating 30 years of marriage this month.
