7th grade Students explored the dynamic processes that shape our planet during our Snack Tectonics Lab! Using edible models, they investigated how tectonic plates interact at divergent and convergent boundaries. Through hands-on learning, students observed how mountains, subduction zones, and other landforms can form as Earth's plates move. This engaging activity allowed students to connect complex Earth science concepts to real-world geological processes while having a little fun along the way!
A special thank you to our families for donating supplies and helping make this memorable learning experience possible. Your generosity and support are greatly appreciated and help bring science concepts to life for our students!
Update 1:35 p.m.: The Sheriff's Office gave us the all-clear. School operations are resuming as normal.

All students and staff are safe, but we are following the Martin County Sheriff's Office guidance and are in a lockout. Today, we proudly celebrate the incredible custodial team at Murray Middle School! 💙💛
Our custodians are the first to arrive and the last to leave, working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our school is clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for learning each day. From setting up for events to responding to unexpected needs with a smile, their dedication makes a difference in the lives of our students and staff every single day.
Their hard work may not always be seen, but it is always appreciated. Thank you for your commitment, pride, and care for our school community. We are grateful for all you do to help our Lions thrive!

🏐💙💛 Our Lady Lions played their hearts out tonight against HOMS! While we didn’t take home the win, our girls showed up, worked hard, and gave it everything they had. We are so proud of their effort and determination! 🦁💪

🧪🧸 Science you can see… and squish!
Our Biology students put their learning into action with the Gummy Bear Diffusion Lab! 🧸💧 Students soaked gummy bears in different solutions and observed how they changed while exploring diffusion and the movement of water across cell membranes.
From making observations and collecting data to drawing evidence-based conclusions, our scientists were busy putting biology to the test! 🔬📊
Who knew learning about cell membranes could be this much fun? 🧸🧪✨
🦁 Help Stock the Lions Care Closet! 🦁
Our Lions Care Closet supports our students and provides a fun space for them to “shop”! We are currently seeking donations of:
👕 Gently used clothing (all sizes)
👟 Gently used shoes (all sizes)
🪥 Unopened hygiene products such as toothpaste, deodorant, lotion, shampoo, and other personal care items
🎀 "Fun" items including jewelry, water bottles, hair accessories, and other items that help our students feel confident🧥 Hangers and clothing racks to help us organize our closet
Every donation makes a difference and helps ensure our students have access to essentials that support their well-being, confidence, and success.
Donations can be dropped off at the front office.
Together, we can make a big difference, one student at a time. 🦁💙

🎀 It’s a 9️⃣ to 5️⃣ kind of day… but our Lions made it extra sweet! 🦁💙💛
We’re joining in on the Dolly Parton trend! Our teachers were treated to a breakfast cart filled with yummy snacks and goodies, all while being greeted by our amazing students.
Nothing says “9️⃣ to 5️⃣” like a little breakfast, lots of smiles, and the sweetest Lions around! ✨
We’re feeling pretty lucky to be part of this amazing school family! 💙💛
