The Stoneham Council On Aging provides services of nutrition, health, recreation, transportation, and referral programs for seniors at the Senior Center

The Stoneham Senior Center is the Town’s second Almshouse built in 1852, in the Greek Revival style. The building was renovated in 1998 and has been proudly listed on the National Register of Historical Places since 1984. June is packed with opportunities for connection, wellness, service, learning, and fun! We are excited to share another month full of activities, community partnerships, and special events.

πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ Happy Pride Month! We look forward to participating in Pride events throughout the community and celebrating diversity, inclusion, and recovery for all.

πŸ“’ A few important announcements:

β€’ The Bridge Recovery Center will be closed on Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. However, our team will still be out in the community from 11 AM–3 PM at the Salem Woods School event.

β€’ Our Wednesday Dharma Meeting has moved to 6:30 PM.

β€’ Thursday Night Yoga continues every week at 6 PM.

β€’ Join us on June 18th for an in-person training with MTAG (Massachusetts Technical Assistance Center for Problem Gambling) covering Introduction to Problem Gambling and Best Practices.

β€’ Also on June 18th, CHA will be facilitating an Exploring Gender and Sexuality Workshop.

β€’ If training isn't your thing, join us and our friends from Peer-to-Peer and other recovery centers for a Day in the Park and Hike at Blue Hills!

We are seeking volunteers to assist with the WIC Mobile Market on June 13th and have many other service opportunities available throughout the month.
