Tomorrow, June 25, we're offering our carnivores a special addition to their regular diet: 🥩🥩
Our cougars, jaguar, lynx and snow leopard will be getting large cuts of meat, complete with all the bone and connective tissues that encourages natural feeding behaviors, like ripping and shredding. The public is welcome to observe these special feedings, which start at the cougar habitat at 9:50 am!

Members of our animal care team celebrated this festive occasion with friends at the recent Stoneham Pride event. At our Zoos, we cherish diversity—in ecosystems, in animals, in thought and among all people and families all year long. Everyone is welcome here to be themselves and explore our natural world with us.

Today we're celebrating panthers, catamounts, cougars, pumas AND mountain lions — because they're all the same spectacular species. It's Cougar Day! 🐾
Our cougar sisters, Maple and Willow, have done a lot of growing up since they arrived at Stone Zoo in 2024. They found a forever home with us after being orphaned as wee cubs and having to be raised by humans. Their story is a testament to the challenges this species faces in the wild.
