Today, we commemorate Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates freedom, resilience, and the ongoing pursuit of equality for all.
Juneteenth serves as an opportunity to reflect on our nation's history, honor those who fought for freedom, and recognize the importance of unity, understanding, and respect within our communities.
The members of the Stoneham Police Department are committed to serving all members of our community with fairness, dignity, and respect.
Honoring Freedom, History, and Resilience
"A day to reflect on the past, celebrate progress, and continue building a stronger community together."

π Lock Your Car β Help Prevent Theft π
The Stoneham Police Department would like to remind residents to take a few simple steps to help prevent vehicle break-ins and thefts:
β
Lock your vehicle, even when parked at home
β
Remove valuables from plain sight
β
Take your keys and key fobs with you
β
Close all windows and sunroofs
β
Never leave fi****ms unattended in a vehicle
Most vehicle break-ins are crimes of opportunity. A locked vehicle with no valuables visible is far less likely to be targeted.
Please take a moment today to check your vehicle and encourage your family members to do the same.
Lock it. Take it. Secure it.

π Gun Safety Awareness Month π
This June, we recognize Gun Safety Awareness Month and encourage all firearm owners to practice safe and responsible storage.
A firearm that is properly secured is less likely to be involved in an accident, theft, or unauthorized use.
βοΈ Keep fi****ms locked and secured
βοΈ Store fi****ms unloaded when not in use
βοΈ Store ammunition separately
βοΈ Use a gun safe, lock box, or trigger lock
βοΈ Talk to your family about firearm safety
Safe storage protects children, families, first responders, and our community.
Together, we can help prevent tragedies before they happen.
