1. ABOUT GOD
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe.
He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. (Genesis 1:1, 26-27, 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; I Peter 1:2; II Corinthians 13:14)
2. ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus Christ was miraculously conceived and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose bodily from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. (Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; Luke 1:42; I Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; I Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13)
3. ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily. (II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13, 5:18; Galatians 5:25)
4. ABOUT THE BIBLE
The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any error. (II Timothy 1:13, 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 12:6; 119:105, 160; Proverbs 30:5)
5. ABOUT HUMAN BEINGS
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude that separates people from God and causes many problems in life. (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a, 59:1-2; Romans 3:23)
6. ABOUT SALVATION
Salvation is God’s free gift to us but we must accept it. We can never make up for sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offering of forgiveness, can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. (Romans 5:1, 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9, John 1:12, 14:6; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26)
Have we gotten so comfortable being saved that we’ve forgotten why we’re still here?
When you spend real time with Jesus, praying, reading His Word, talking with Him, sitting in His presence, you begin to want more of Him.
Because nothing the world offers compares to knowing Him. But Pastor David Shields challenges us with another question: If we know God loves us, if we know where we're going, have we forgotten our purpose while we're still here?
Don’t let security become complacency.

God didn’t love us from a distance.
He brought us close and called us His children.
And sometimes He gives us glimpses of that love through the people around us.
Through someone who stays. Someone who forgives. Someone who is patient with our imperfections. Someone who chooses to love us when loving us requires sacrifice.
Human love will never be perfect, but it can teach us something about the perfect love of our Father.
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!”
Today, we’re thankful for a God who doesn’t just say He loves us. He calls us His own.

Lord, don’t just let me talk about love. Teach me how to live it.
Teach me to be patient when it would be easier to walk away. Give me grace when someone disappoints me. Help me forgive, listen, sacrifice, and love people beyond what is convenient.
And when loving others gets difficult, remind me of the love You have already given me.
We are called Your children because of the incredible love You have lavished on us. Let that love become visible through us. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

He knows everything about you. And He still calls you His.
The failures. The broken commitments. The regrets. The things you wish you could undo.
God knows it all. Yet 1 John doesn’t say God keeps His distance. It tells us to look at the kind of love the Father has given us: He calls us His children.
That’s real love.

God’s love isn’t only something we receive. It becomes something we learn to give.
Sometimes God uses the people closest to us to teach us patience, forgiveness, sacrifice, grace, and what it means to keep loving when love requires something from us. And through those relationships, we begin to understand something deeper about the love of our Father.
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us…”
When you know how deeply God loves you, it should change how you love people.

Do you want Jesus, or just what Jesus can do for you?
We can want His blessings without His Lordship. Healing without holiness. Provision without surrender.
But Jesus wants more than to change our circumstances. He wants to change our hearts. Don’t seek His hand and miss His face.
