UC Davis Health’s Central Utility Plant Expansion project reached a key milestone in May with its topping out ceremony!

Siegfried is proud to support this $406 million progressive design-build project, providing civil engineering, landscape architecture, and surveying services. Once complete, the expansion will help strengthen utility capacity, reliability, and performance across the UC Davis Health campus.

As May comes to a close, we’re celebrating Living Schoolyards Month and the role outdoor spaces can play in supporting student well-being and discovery.

Through our work with Oakland Unified School District and the New Joseph Bonnheim Campus Plan with Sacramento City Unified School District, Siegfried is proud to help shape school environments that support learning beyond the classroom.

Siegfried honors and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country this Memorial Day.

In observance of the holiday, our office will be closed and will resume normal operating hours tomorrow, May 26, at 8:00 AM.

Siegfried participated in this year’s Structural Engineers Association of Central California (SEAOCC) Golf Tournament alongside fellow engineers and industry partners.

It was a great chance to spend time with the local engineering community, make new connections, and support SEAOCC’s ongoing work to advance the structural engineering profession throughout Central California.

Small spaces can make a big difference.

Siegfried provided survey and landscape architecture services for the Modesto Gospel Mission’s Women’s New Life Program Residence courtyard, helping reimagine an underused area into a safe, welcoming outdoor space for the women and children who call it home.

The courtyard is now a place for play, homework, meals, fresh air, and connection. It includes a small play structure, tables and seating, shade, low-maintenance plants, pollinator-friendly greenery, donated trees, and natural wood elements that add warmth and texture.

Designed with everyday life in mind, this space brings new opportunities for gathering, learning, playing, and simply spending time outside.

Going red for women’s heart health ❤️

We’re proud to support the American Heart Association’s Go Red Bruncheon and its mission to advance awareness and raise funds for women’s heart health. Thank you to our team members who joined this meaningful event.

Last month, Siegfried attended the ribbon cutting for San José City College’s new Career Education Complex.

The project includes an 85,000 SF career education building and renovations to a 40,000 SF existing building, creating space for classrooms, computer labs, offices, social areas, and food service. Siegfried supported the project with civil engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture services.

We’re excited to see this new complex come to life and begin serving SJCC students, faculty, and the broader campus community.
